I am a dad of three so naturally I am all about taking pictures and video as much as possible and posting it over on my themastersfamily.net web site for the rest of the family to see.

It had been some time since took any video and I used to upload it to my web host but that can really eat up your disk space and your bandwidth.

Enter Yahoo and Google video. I was not quite sure of the advantage of one over the other so I decided to try both.

From the start Yahoo only allows you to upload 100mb worth so I could only do the below 20 minute video at 320 x 240 as opposed to unlimited storage at Google. The Google video is 640 x 480.

You cannot really see that much of a difference between the quality of the video.

Another thing that is good about Google is that they give you the option to download the video. For my family this is important since they want to make DVD’s of my videos to watch on their TV’s.

When it comes down to it I will be using Google even though it takes longer to get something published. Hopefully now that I have a video uploaded with they the next one will not take as long.
