When I was younger I thought that I wanted to get into the “Computer Field” so I enrolled in an MCSE program and went and got a job doing network engineering. A couple of years doing that I was through. I then went in to web design and was on my way to becoming a web developer when I landed in my present position as a Product Manager.

At first I was not to keen on it but now that I have been in the position a while I am really liking it. Instead of having to figure out how to make something from a list of requirements I am guy writing the requirements. With that I am feeling the urge to go back to school to solidify myself in this field and turn it into a career.

Since I am new to the Austin area I am not too partial to any schools in the area and am actually considering a online degree program. I guy that I worked with mention Capella University to get my higher education so I checked them out.

It appears that they offer bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs online in such fields as accounting, finance, and marketing. They also have more technical programs such as network technology, project management, and web application development. I am interested in either the marketing or the project management degree programs and have requested information on them.

I have looked and adding a degree to my resume could instantly put $20k a year in my pocket so it is definitely a wise investment. The say education is one of the best investments that you can ever make because no one can ever take it from you.
