Socking it to Cingular and LG
I am pissed off.
I got an LG C2000 cell phone when I signed up with Cingular last June and have to say that the phone is a piece of crap.
The biggest reason why it sucks is that you can barely hear the person on the other end of the phone. The other thing is the camera on it is practically useless due to the fact that it cannot take a decent picture and the fact that the phone only has enough memory to hold about 10 pictures max.
Why don’t I get another one?
I did and it sucks just as much as the first one. You still cannot hear any better on it then the one that I turned in under warranty. Also, the camera still takes awful pictures.
I was so upset that the second phone was as bad as the first that I called Cingular right there in the parking lot of the Cingular store where I got the replacement and demanded another one. At this point Cingular is not willing to let me get a different phone and is content on sending me my 2nd replacement phone. Because of this I am planning on making them continually send my replacement phones until they give and let me get a different type.
From talking with someone else in line who previously had the same phone (and the same problems) they said that after 3 replacements that they finally allowed them to get a different type.
I would settle for a Samsung or a Motorola (preferably a Razr) and would be willing to pay the difference if necessary.
I think it really sucks when a company makes a substandard product and expects you to suffer because “there hasn’t been any recalls” (this is the reason the Cingular customer service person gave me for making me get the same phone.
Anyway, we will see how things play out.
