Getting Ready to Camp Out at Best Buy

So as you have probably heard Black Friday is around the corner. I have never been caught up in this crazy day after Thanksgiving thing in the past but this year things are changing.

The first reason for the change is that I actually have some cash to blow on whatever I want. The second reason is this – the 22″ Westinghouse LCD monitor that is usually $500 that is going to be on sale at Best Buy for $200.

I have looked and looked and this is an incredible deal on this monitor. These are the reasons I order why this deal is so awesome:

1. It is an LCD and I have a 21″ monster CRT right now
2. It is 22″ so it will be about as tall as the CRT but wider
3. It not only has VGA and DVI inputs it has S-video and coaxial too

Currently I use my CRT as a monitor and TV with the capture card that I have. The capture card is not High Def but with this monitor I can get a HD box from Time warner and plug it right into the monitor.

The plan is that I am going to camp out on Wednesday night at a Best Buy that is not that popular. The popular Best Buy that I usually go to has 24 of these monitors that they are selling so I am hoping that the other BB has about the same.

There is a limit of one per person but my bro-in-law is coming with me so I am going to talk him into buying one and then selling it on Craigslist to make some extra cash.

While I am there I am going to pick up a memory stick for my Sony camera. I have a 128mb card right now and they have a 1GB on for $20. They also have a 2GB Sandisk MP3 player that has an FM tuner and can play video that I want but I may need to pass (I can’t spend too much cash on myself).

Anyway, I am joining the ranks of the crazy people that are into camping out in the front of stores for deals. I don’t know $300 seems like it’s worth it to me to sleep out in the cold for a night.
