Gas Prices in Austin and Central Texas

This past weekend the family and I went down to Houston to drop off a car that we are getting rid of (no more American cars – ever). While down there I filled up my car for $1.99 which was lovely.

On Sunday while watching the the news about the earthquake in Hawaii I noticed the price for gas in the background during the news – $2.84 – yikes! A quike search for Los Angeles gas prices shows that they are ranging from $2.29 to $2.99 (we moved from there almost a year ago).

Locally here in Round Rock, TX gas down at Walmart is $2.08. I can’t wait until gas around here slips to the sub $2 range. I love Texas!
