I had signed up with Yahoo Music a while ago and while they had a pretty good selection I canceled my service after a while. After all I could only listen to it while at my computer.

Then a couple of guys I know at work got MP3 players. I know that I play an MP3 player in my car so I started to check out ITunes to see if they and an IPod would be my next step. I was looking for used IPods on Craigslist when for some reason I decided to check out Napster.

Right there of the front page of their site was a free MP3 player. It turns out that if you subscribe to their $14.95 subscription for 3 months then they will send you a 512mb MP3 player. So I decided to try their 7 day trial and was hooked.

I found music for all the bands that I like and can download the music to my laptop without any additional cost. Somehow they have it wired to where the download songs will only work as long as you have a valid subscription. You can also throw the files on your MP3 player without having to purchase them.

I have already got my confirmation for my MP3 player so it should be here in the next week or so. I am pretty stoked.
