Exploring the East Coast Now that We are in Texas
I was instantly taken back by the photos that were throughout the site but as I went further I would a little hard to get general information for the different areas that the site covers.
For starters I am from the west coast and have no idea about anything in North Carolina so I do not know where to look for what. Starting at the front page there is 9 paragraphs about North Carolina and it’s history but it is hard to sit there and read it line for line. When I go to a web site I want to be able to get a general overview quickly and then have more information available if I choose to utilize it.
I chose the Outer Banks not really what they were or why I would want to go there and started poking around. Again I was met with 5 very long small print paragraphs that just contained too much information for them to be useful. This was the same things for each of the areas that I visited on the site.
I think the NC Beaches website would be better if it was a mixture of the information it already has and the traveltexas.com website. In the Travel Texas web site things are more simple and you can quickly find information about different areas in Texas.
The thing that I think the Travel Texas website is lacking is more in-dept information like the NC Beaches web site has. I think that if they could somehow take the vast information that they have and format the way the Travel Texas web site is formated that they would hav a very nce web site.
The NC Beaches web site did do one thing for me - it put North Caroline on the map of places that I would like to go explore.
