EA Games Failing Miserably with Battlefield 2
I really am not waiting for the fix for the 1.3 so I can play, I am waiting to see how long EA Games is going to drag out fixing people’s games so that I can thrash on them along the way.
EA Games finally came out with a Community Update that semi addressed the issues that people are having -
We recognize that this has been a very trying time for everyone who enjoys Battlefield 2 and are putting forth every effort to improve upon the issues that are causing some players frustration. The DICE team has been reviewing player feedback gathered from forums, email, and the ranker server providers in an effort to provide the best possible step forward from 1.3. While this work has been highly focused on bug fixing the team has also managed to put some work toward new content.
The funny part about the above is the “causing some players frustration” statement. Some? How about total frustration. The EA forum lit up after this latest post with people continuing to trash EA for their lack of support.
Further down their post they mentioned that they had identified the causes for server performance issues and the crashes to desktops. Unfortunately the are not going to release these fixes until they implement some “enhancements” to the product.
Please EA, no more enhancements, we do not need the whole world coming to a screeching halt.
